Tulsa Life Chart (TLC)
When an individual works with a physician, therapist, or other provider, it is often essential that the provider obtains a thorough understanding of the individual’s life history. By understanding the important life events and course of medical or mental health diagnoses and symptoms, the provider and client can work together to develop the most appropriate plan of treatment moving forward. The Tulsa Life Chart (TLC) was developed by Drs. Khalsa and Aupperle and other LIBR researchers.
The TLC is a web-based, structured interview for obtaining information about an individual’s life history and charting that information graphically to be quickly and easily visualized and processed by the client, provider, or researcher.
The initial version of the TLC is available to be administered through available database structures and analysis scripts (see links below). Researchers at LIBR are working to improve the assessment interface and graphical charts of the TLC to make it more engaging and easier to use within a variety of clinical and research contexts.
