"The Detection and Phenomenology of ARFID:  Considerations to Guide Treatment Selection"

Nancy Zucker is a Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and Psychology and Neuroscience at Duke University and Founder and Director of the Duke Center for Eating Disorders. Nancy uses our growing understanding of interoception to develop interventions that help young people trust their bodies.

  Learning objectives:  

1. List the diagnostic criteria of Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder.
2. Describe and define three different drivers of food avoidance and/or restriction on ARFID.
3. List the emotional drivers of food avoidance in a client with ARFID and match different treatment modules to that specific clinical presentation.
