Congratulations to Dr. Masaya Misaki and colleagues in Dr. Jerzy Bodurka's lab for their recent publication in Scientific Reports! This is an open access paper and available to the public to read and share. Their novel analysis approach showed that in subjects with depression, symptoms of suicidal ideation and anhedonia (loss of feeling of pleasure) were associated with response variation in the right nucleus accumbens, an area of the brain that responds to rewarding stimuli.
